I was surprised that the outcome is 3 minutes off from what I was expecting. My 16km Earth Run 2 Sundays ago and my 15km at Mizuno last Sunday, both I finished at 1:42. A very disturbing performance of mine. I need to improve badly!
Update: Mizuno just changed the result and my official time is now 1:38:56

Hi Sammy! I think that’s okay, and even very good considering that you already ran hard for the previous Earth Run’s 16k. I read that it’s not good to race for a PR every time you race. This ought to be done (daw) only once a month, for a period of three months (even for elite athletes). So only a few races should be regarded as “PR” races talaga – the rest of the races in between could be long runs, easy runs, or even tempo runs.
Adopting this strategy has enabled me to shave off 6mins from my 5k PR – from 32:27 to 25:50 – in two months. In between those months, the other races were just “practice” races for me 
Of course this is what worked for me lang.. it might be different for others.. but my “newbie” story might help, just the same!

Yeah was hoping for PR considering this is flat roads (except for Kalayaan flyover) but still, lack of training dig me in. I’m impressed with your improvements. Keep it up girl!
